Should i make a daytrip down to Hiroshima/Miyajima during my Spring'10 trip?haix. It's about 120min from kyoto>hiroshima via JR trains. (one-way)
another 35mins by ferry to Miyajima Islands.
Travelling by rail will take the bulk of my day! should i ?
is it worth it to travel all the way down just to see the Itsukushima Shrine??
i'm still in the midst of planning for kyoto/osaka accomodation.
Still deciding whether:-
(1) to stay 6n throughout in kyoto and use Kyoto as a base for daytrips to Osaka/Kobe/Nara etc.
(2) to stay 4n in Kyoto and 2n in Osaka (side trip to Wakayama)
...another few weeks for me to decide how many nights' stay to reserve @ the respective hostels/hotels!
