To the Concerts !

Super long time since i attended a classical concert !
well, I will be attending two concerts this Oct + Nov with Mum~

Winterreise on the 13th Oct @ the Esplanade Recital Studio
This was recommended by my piano tutor - since I'm currently playing this.

Synopsis:
Young Musicians' Society presents baritone Eng Meng Chia as he returns home to reprise the role of the wanderer in Schubert’s Winterreise. Considered to be one of the greatest song cycles ever written, Schubert here raises the importance of the pianist equal to that of the singer – a role suitably fulfilled by none other than Shane Thio.

Based on a cycle of twenty-four poems by Wilhelm Müller, Winterreise maps the journey of a love-spurned wanderer. The harsh elements of the winter landscape echo his desolation and his solitude is magnified with each creature he encounters; never another human till the end.

VIENNA BOYS' CHOIR
We'll be seeing some cute little boys this Nov 7 at the Esplanades~
Have been hearing alot about this choir.
Looking forward to hearing them live.

SYNOPSIS:
The world’s favourite children’s choir, capturing the hearts of audiences around the world for generations, is set for two special concerts at the Esplanade.
The Vienna Boys’ Choir’s 400-year-old tradition is celebrated annually with an Asian tour to capital cities.

The choir updates its repertoire regularly, and today’s programmes include everything from medieval motets to Beatles and Celine Dion, from folk songs to film scores. In recent years, they have performed with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
